alicia was born and raised in mauritius, the tropical island nestled to the east of madagascar in the indian ocean. while building her international modeling career, alicia co-founded tartinery in new york in 2010, marking her first entrepreneurial venture. she later founded alicia swim in 2019, the conscious luxury swimwear and resortwear brand, followed by the publication of her first book, fresh island style, blending her love for mauritius with her passion for wellbeing and nature.

in 2025, alicia launched villa soleil, a multi-brand concept store in menorca, spain. in 2026, alicia continues to expand her accomplishments as the founder of holistic skincare and wellness brand mēditatif, further uniting beauty, ritual, and conscious living.
